PS4 Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix Release Date In 2014? KH Remake Launch Will Likely ‘Be This Year’

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix will likely be released in 2014, Monitoring Crunch reports, bringing hope to fans awaiting the highly-anticipated game's release date.  

"While nothing has been confirmed by Square Enix, the Kingdom Hearts community believe that it will be this year. After all, the game developer didn't write off that possibility as unlikely. The fans went on a discussion thread and revealed their ideal date if Kingdom Hearts 2.5 comes this year," the website writes.

"Many fans agreed that the month of October or November will be the likeliest period where the game gets released. Of course, the fans would prefer it to be during summer as they wish to play the during the school holidays."

But Kingdom Hears 2.5 HD Remix isn't the only game in the series gamers are talking about.

Kingdom Hearts 3 's release date version "can grow from a darker tone," OnlySinglePlayer.com reports.

"As the initial fanbase grows up, the mini gamespresented in worlds like Disney Town and Atlantica are often complained about and truly feel out of place for a series that can grow from a darker tone," the website writes.

"The first argument that can be made in contention to an idea of a darker Kingdom Hearts is the fact that Disney is a main ingredient in the series' formula. Some think the company's history is too childish and cannot be complemented with a narrative that is darker in tone."

Kingdom Hearts 3 has officially been listed for the Xbox One, confirming the developer's expansion past rival next-generation console Playstation 4, the International Business Times reports, leaving many gamers wondering if a release date announcement may be soon be coming.

The Kingdom Hearts 3 release date Xbox One version will include new features, including the ability to summon ride attractions, the Japanese branch of Microsoft Studios recently divulged.

"In the latest entry of the Kingdom Hearts series, a grown Sora will journey to a new adventure," organization officials said, according to Gameranx.

"Next generation platform specs are being utilized, actions are more exhilarating than ever, and offers a mechanism that is jam-packed with (ride) attractions. The compilation of the series has expanded the storyline to an impressive scale and it will evolve into a work of rich entertainment."
