Nokia Lumia 630 Release Date, Price: Windows Phone 8.1-Powered Nokia Handset Goes Live In Italy, Costs Just $207, Shipping Begins May 20

Nokia Lumia 630 release date, price: It has just been over a month since Nokia unleashed its Windows Phone 8.1 handset, the high-end Lumia 930, and the midrange Lumia 630. And for those solid Nokia fans who are looking for a collector's item smartphone, then this midranger could be the best deal.

Priced at only 149.99 euros or just about $207, the Nokia smartphone is already available in Italy for pre-orders.

According to the report by GSM Arena, the smartphone would be shipped to customers and buyers on May 20.

While the Lumia 630 is a great 'memorabilia' phone of the once great Nokia mobile company, it is by no means just a paperweight. The Windows Phone 8.1 powered handset packs decent specs that would surely give consumers a run for their money.

Aside from that, the Lumia 630 is also powered by the more feature-packed Windows Phone 8.1, which is certainly a far cry to the immature and unstable versions in the past. The super fast touch keypad recognition of the mobile OS has even notched a Guinness record for the fastest smartphone to type a particular length of sentence.

Not to mention Cortana voice assistant thas has been set to rival other similar applications such as Siri, S Voice, and others which may arrive in the future.

On the specs side, the Lumia 630 packs a 4.5-inch display with 854 x 480 resolution, a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, only 512MB of RAM, a Snapdragon 400 chipset, and 8GB of built in memory with microSD card expansion.

Also on board is a 5MP primary camera and an 1830mAh battery that can help the smartphone last for an entire day with moderate to heavy use. There is also a dual-SIM version of the phone, though the report did not clarify if the Lumia 631 would also arrive to Italy.
