`The Sopranos' Finally Coming to Blu-ray for the First Time

The Sopranos are expanding their turf. They have been available on DVD but now The first family of New Jersey is coming to Blu-ray for the first time. All six seasons of the classic HBO crime series The Sopranos are coming out on November 4.The only seasons of the show to receive Blu-Ray upgrades were the first and the sixthThe DVDs will include over five hours of bonus features. 


The Sopranos premiered in 1997 and ended in 2007. Critics have named The Sopranos as one of the greatest TV shows of all times.It had movie quality production values in a weekly TV show. It opened the doors for shows like "Breakking Bad," "The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and Sons of Anarchy. 


The Sopranos Blu-ray box set includes all 86 episodes of the show. The Blu-ray box set includes a feature titled "Defining a Television Landmark, which includes interviews with Sopranos creator David Chase, Ocean's Eleven director Steven Soderbergh and The News Room's Jeff Daniels. 


The Sopranos will also, of course, be remembered for James Gandolfini, who died just over a year ago as of this writing. Gandolfini brought menace and humor, larceny and family values to Tony Soprano. 


All six seasons of The Sopranos will be released in a collectible box set. Suggested retail price for the collectible set is $279.98.
