‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Spoilers: Thanos To Make Grand Appearance In Earth's Mightiest Heroes' Sequel? Debut In 'Guardians' Mostly In Hologram!

By now, we all know that Josh Brolin will be the voice of Thanos. As Marvel would like to have "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" to be the centerpiece of all their projects, he might make his first physical appearance there.

While he will be the central villain of "Guardians of the Galaxy" it would be premature to see him engage in actual physical confrontations just yet. Think of Thanos as the big boss that you will only face at the end (of the film, or even a video game) but you have to get through his henchmen first. Only it's a series of movies-not just one film.

In this case, the 'henchmen' are Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) and Nebula (Karen Gillan). They will be the visible antagonists throughout the movie but make no mistake, Thanos is in charge and that will be obvious throughout the film.

From Vulture: "..he'll emerge in the first act of Guardians of the Galaxy. Thanos will be communicating remotely via hologram for most of the film - a move the Mad Titan likely cribbed from the equally enigmatic Emperor Palpatine inThe Empire Strikes Back - though he does show up in the purple flesh for a scene that also features Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) and Nebula (Karen Gillan), who do Thanos's bidding and serve as the primary adversaries inGuardians. Still, though Thanos is only briefly glimpsed throughoutGuardians, his presence is palpable throughout: Characters reference him often and fearfully, and he has familial ties to Gamora (Zoe Saldana), our green-skinned female lead."

As for what exactly they're fighting for, Vulture also has the scoop. It seems obvious, but it's still a scoop:  "The movie also presents another one of the Infinity Stones that Thanos is trying to retrieve to assemble his powerful Gauntlet."

How will Thanos appear in "Avengers: Age of Ultron?" Will there be a connection between the two villains? As of now, the Avengers are still 'earthbound' and there are many things they need to resolve after the events of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." GOTG will introduce the cosmic realm, but they will not cross paths with the Avengers just yet. Director of GOTG James Gunn has confirmed that they will connect in Avengers 3.

In the meantime, "Guardians of the Galaxy" will be shown on August 1, 2014 followed by "Avengers: Age of UItron" on May 1, 2015.
