New Android Phones 2014: Vertu Launches Super Premium Signature Touch Smartphone, Comes In Titanium Or Leather Options, Wireless Speakers And Over-Ear Headset

If you are looking for new Android phones in 2014 which have interesting and unique details, then you may want to check out this new handset from Vertu. 

In case you do not know, Vertu is a luxury smartphone manufacturer that develops decently-spec'd handsets at incredibly high prices. Now, meet its newest creation - the Signature Touch. 

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Vertu Signature Touch has just been made official today, and would cost an eye-dropping £6750 or about $11,300. 

You can already buy a decent pre-loved car with that amount of money. So what's waiting for those who would shell out such a high amount of money for a smartphone? 

In the report, the Vertu Signature Touch packs a 4.7-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 800 chipset, quad-core CPU running at 2.3GHz, and 64GB of built-in memory. 

Also on board is a 13MP primary camera that is tuned by photography powerhouse Hasselblad. The rear camera comes with dual-LED flash, and there is also a front cam that has 2.1MP. 

On the audio department, the Vertu Signature Touch gets Band & Olufsen music accessories including over-ear headphones and a wireless speaker that both come with the Signature Touch package. 

In case you are still not impressed, the Signature Touch's screen is covered with sapphire which makes it thinner than other displays. The phone cover can be a grade 5 titanium or an 'exotic' leather. 

Other notable features include the usual connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and LTE connectivity. 

The Android-powered handset runs through a 2,275mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Vertu is certainly a one of a kind manufacturer, but it still has some market, no matter how small it is.
