Lou Ferrigno Dead? 'Incredible Hulk' Death Hoax Was Just a Hoax, You Can't Kill The Hulk; Ferrigno Appears at Comic Convention; Incredible Hulk Now a Sheriff's Deputy

Lou Ferrigno Dead 'Incredible Hulk' Death HOAX: Lou Ferrigno, the bodybuilder turned actor, says he is not dead. And who would argue with him even if he was. 
Last week there were reports that Lou Ferrigno, the original Incredible Hulk, was killed in a "multi-vehicle crash between Santa Barbara and Goleta." 


The report came from a fake news website designed like USA Today. The rumor became viral and the the 62-year-old former bodybuilder was the latest internet death hoax.


The full fake news item read: "Reports say beloved Lou Ferrigno was killed in a multi-vehicle crash between Santa Barbara and Goleta. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident and was identified by photo ID found on his body. Witnesses say a blue Ford F150 was seen driving recklessly just before the accident and was also seen speeding away after the accident," the article says. "A spokesperson for the Santa Barbaria Police Dept. told reporters that Mr. Ferrigno's vehicle rolled several times killing him instantly. They did not have a cause of the accident as of yet."


Ferrigno posted a video on Facebook to prove he's still alive. In the video, Lou Ferrigno says "Thank you all for the concern! I am alive and working hard today on Ferrigno FIT and hope to see you in November at Ferrigno Legacy competition! I'm on the way to the bank. It's a great Wednesday, I'm on the way to the bank. And I'm not dead."Ferrigno has been busy, he recently told the Houston Press that "I have been a deputy sheriff for the last ten years with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department and I put 30 hours a month into law enforcement. I've been busy with that as well as with conventions."


This weekend Lou Ferrigno hit the the TD Convention Center and Comics & Games bookstore in Greenville, N.C. for SCComicon with other legendary actors and comic book writers and illustrators.


The Incredible Hulk ran on CBS for five seasons from 1977 to 1982.
