The Fault In Our Stars Shailene Woodley Gets Naked! ‘Divergent’ Star Bolder In Her New Movie ‘White Bird In A Blizzard’ – ‘When I Have Sex, I'm Naked’

The Fault in Our Stars actress Shailene Woodley gets naked! It seems like the 22-year-old star wants to prove something in Tinsel Town. In her new movie "White Bird in a Blizzard," Woodley bares her all, but she didn't just do it to gain attention, she has her reasons and she talked about it on ETonline.

Just like her role in her highly acclaimed film "The Fault in Our Stars," Woodley portrays a life of a teenage girl again, but this time around it tells a story of a girl living in the 1980s' and her dilemma following the disappearance of her mother.

The "Divergent" star admitted to New York Magazine that she did gain some criticism for her nude scenes in the film, but she believes that she just did what is needed from the film."Everyone was freaked out because I'm nude, but in real life, when I have sex, I'm naked," "The Fault in our Stars" actress Shailene Woodley explained. "I don't have a bra on, and I don't usually have panties on. So let's make a real movie! Let's bring truth to the scene! I didn't want to be exploited, but this girl--like most girls when they first have sex--doesn't know what she's doing. I wanted their first kiss to be sloppy, teenagerish making out. When you're younger, you think you know what to do, but you really don't."

Woodley also shared that she threatened to promote her 2011 movie "The Descendents" naked because of all the unsolicited advice given to her on how to dress to improve her chances of an Oscar.

''People were suddenly asking me all kinds of questions. What would my next movie be? What was I wearing? Did I think I would get an Oscar nomination? I was told to start dressing more 'cosmopolitan' for my 'campaign.' I remember saying, 'Are you telling me that if I dress a certain way, my chances are better for an Oscar? That makes me want to show up naked,' she recalled.

''They said, 'Well - if you're naked, your chances will be very good.' ''

"The Fault in our Stars" actress Shailene Woodley also fires back from the constant comparison she's getting to "The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence saying:

"As women, we are constantly told that we need to compare ourselves to a girl in school, to our co-workers, to the images in a magazine. How is the world going to advance if we're always comparing ourselves to others? I admire Jennifer Lawrence, but she's everyone's favorite person to compare me to."

She added, "Is it because we both have short hair and a vagina? I see us as separate individuals. And that's important. As women, our insecurities are based on all these comparisons. And that creates distress."
