The free games for Xbox Live Gold members for June 2014 include 2 Xbox One games which are Halo: Spartan Assault" and "Max: The Curse of Brotherhood."

These two free games for Xbox Live Gold members are now available for 0 Microsoft Point. Both are Xbox One games and they are currently free as part of Microsoft's program called Games With Gold." As posted on GameSpot, Halo: Spartan Assault is a download-only title that was released for the Xbox One in 2013.

Halo: Spartan Assault was originally launched as a mobile game for Windows 8 and Windows Phone before it was ported to Xbox One in December. Halo: Spartan Assault was recently released to Xbox 360 and Steam as well.

Meanwhile, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, another one of the two currently free games for Xbox Live Gold members this June 2014 is a platformer game which features intriguing puzzles.

Furthermore, an Xbox 360 game, "Dark Souls" is now available as one of the free games for Xbox Live Gold members this June 2014. Particularly, subscribers can access the game only until June 15.

Microsoft also announced that "Charlie Murder" and "Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition" will also be available as free games for Xbox Live Gold members this June 2014. Gamers can download them starting June 16 until the end of the month.

Furthermore, after releasing the June update globally, Xbox users who do not have Xbox Live Gold subscription can now access more than 180 apps such as HBO Go, ESPN and Netflix, Skype, OneDrive and more, according to GeekWire.

Before, Xbox One and Xbox 360 are required to purchase the Xbox Live Gold membership worth $59 to be able to access these apps.
