OS X Yosemite Beta Download Available To First 1 Million Users To Sign Up; Upcoming Software Offers ‘More Connected Experience Across iPhone, iPad And Mac’
Registration for the OS X Yosemite Beta download is now on-going.
OS X Yosemite was unveiled during Apple's recently concluded WWDC 2014 event. The new Mac OS showcases a new look that features resemblance from the iOS 7. Furthermore, as Gotta Be Mobile noted, the OS X Yosemite provides a "more connected experience across the iPhone, iPad and your Mac."
OS X Yosemite is scheduled for release later this fall. However, for Apple fans who eagerly want to experience the latest Mac operating system, the OS X Yosemite beta download will soon be available for regular Mac users.
Apple has already updated its official site regarding information about the OS X Yosemite beta download. Currently, the Cupertino-based tech firm is taking registrations for the OS X Yosemite Beta Program, which will be available only to first 1 million users to sign up.
Explaining how to participate in the OS X Yosemite beta, the Apple page reads:
"To join the OS X Beta Program, just sign up using your Apple ID. When the beta software is ready, you'll receive a redemption code that will allow you to download and install OS X Yosemite Beta from the Mac App Store. Then go ahead and start using it. When you come across an issue that needs addressing, report it directly to Apple with the built-in Feedback Assistant application."

As mentioned on BGR, Some of the features included in OS X Yosemite which was shown during a demo at the WWDC 2014 event such as Handoff, iCloud Documents and Instant Hotspot, will not be available at first. Also, the Spotlight suggestions will initially be a US-based feature.
Apple has not revealed yet the release date for the OS X Yosemite beta download but those who register for the program will receive an email from the iPhone maker.
