Xiaomi Mi3S Release Date: Specs Of Rumored Upcoming Android Flagship May Incl. Snapdragon 801 Processor, Adreno 330 GPU; Benchmark Test ‘Leo’ Reveals

Xiaomi Mi3s release date: Specs of the rumored Xiaomi Mi3S, thought to be the next Android flagship by the company called the “Apple of China,” may include a Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.2 GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU. These features were seen in AnTuTu benchmarks last month under the name “Leo,” Android Headlines reports.

Though the much-anticipated Xiaomi Mi3S did not appear at Xiaomi’s May 15 event, many expect this unit to make an appearance very soon this year.

The Android-focus site noted that the alleged Xiaomi Mi3S may also have a 5-inch display with a 1080P resolution, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The Xiaomi Leo also shows that it has 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It did not show if it has LTE connectivity. The Leo scored 31,432 in benchmark testing and it’s a bit less than what the OnePlusOne scored. The specs for the device, however, are identical.

Leaked images with claims that it could be the Xiaomi Mi3S show very similar characteristics with the spotted Xiaomi Leo. It’s been noted that the Xiaomi Mi3S will have rounded corners and be running on Snapdragon 801 SoC. Reports say that it will have Android 4.4.2 out of the box with MIUI on top and that it will have 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, a 5-inch 1080P display, and a 13-megapixel rear camera. All the specs pointing to a Mi3S is found in the Xiaomi Leo seen on AnTuTu.

Android Headlines notes that the Xiaomi Mi3 was announced September 5, 2013 and released a month later. The current flagship the Mi3 has two different chipsets, the variant is available depending on where you’re purchasing the unit. The Tegra 4 variant for China Mobile has TS-CDMA connectivity and a Snapdragon 800 version that runs on China’s WCDMA and GSM networks. The other model, the Snapdragon 800 variant, was delayed when it was first unveiled.
