Brazil World Cup 2014 Group A Predictions: Mexico Eliminated? [UPDATE] Brazil, Croatia Slated To Pass To Second Round

For Group A of the upcoming Brazil World Cup 2014, Brazil and Croatia will advance to the second round of the tournament while Mexico and Cameroon face elimination, a report published by Bleacher Report predicts.

Brazil and Croatia are expected to take first and second place respectively; Mexico and Cameroon will take third and fourth place respectively.

Brazil's coach Vicente del Bosque said his team will face an uphill struggle to defend their World Cup, the Daily Star reports.

"Obviously it is not impossible but the normal thing would be not to win the World Cup," he said, according to the site.

"We have to understand the potential of the rivals we face, that the world doesn't revolve around us. But our goal and dream has to be to win it, to believe in it. I think there was a lot of respect in that, in that they saw a potential enemy for Brazil."

The South American team is currently ranked number three in the world.

Croatia's coach Niko Kovac wants to combine a German winning mentality with some Croatian flare at the Brazil World Cup 2014, the Associated Press reports.

''They've obviously not had the experience I've had in Germany,'' Kovac said, according to the site.

''Sometimes I make certain assumptions but find they're not immediately obvious to my players. But I think we've basically got it well under control.''
