Chris Tillman (5-2, 5.20 ERA) lasted just one inning and allowed five runs during a loss to the Rangers last Friday, and somehow it wasn't even his worst start of the year. He allowed eight runs in one inning against the Pirates back on May 21, according to MLB.com.
He'll have the task of trying to slow down Brock Holt. The utility man has been on fire for Boston since being called up. He did not make the club out of spring training, but he's getting the coaching staff's attention now, reaching safely in 17 of 18 games.
"I've always just played short or second coming up through the Minor Leagues," Holt told MLB.com. "I've been fortunate enough to get the opportunity to play different positions and I'm looking forward to the challenge and I'm having fun doing it. It's about going out and playing good baseball and that's what I'm trying to do. Whatever happens with the decisions and all that is not up to me."
Brandon Workman (0-0, 3.74 ERA) will be on the hill for Boston as he still looks for his first win in his MLB career.
"[The Orioles] do have a lot of good hitters, 1-9," he told MLB.com. "They have a lot of pop on the team. It seems like just about everybody can hit the ball out of the ballpark if they get a pitch to handle.
