RHOA Kandi Burruss, Todd Tucker Wedding: Kandi Burruss Dishes On the Todd Tucker Pre-Nup; Mama Joyce Always Thought Todd Loved Kandi for Her Money

RHOA Kandi Burruss Todd Tucker Wedding: Since the recent episode of the Kandi's Wedding spinoff from Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Buruss has been defending her harsh pre-nup agreement in her marriage to Todd Tucker.

On Sunday's night's episode, we saw Todd refuse to sign the pre-nup the night before the wedding.

According to the tabloids, Kandi Burruss was ready to call off her wedding to Todd Tucker if he didn't sign the prenup. Throughout the show, Mama Joyce has maintained that she believes Todd only loved Kandi for her money.

Kandi's marriage to Todd comes exactly five years after the death of her ex-fiance, AJ Jewell. In 2009 Jewell suffered a fatal head injury in a fight in an Atlanta nightclub.

Talking with The Wrap, Kandi talked  about the pre-nuptial agreement, saying " Oh, it became a major conflict, I thought everything was going to be smooth at first, but it turned into a lot of drama and it almost shut the whole wedding down, really."

So, was Mama Joyce right about Todd being after Kandi for her money?

"I don't think I can defend Todd, because once that whole subject of him not wanting to sign the pre-nup comes up there's no way to defend it," Kandi said. "Everyone will have an opinion once the episode airs. So now everyone is going to say, 'Oh, Mama Joyce was right,; I'm already prepared for it.

"But at the end of the day, we did do the pre-nup," she continued. "I personally feel like you got your friends, you got your attorneys and different people. At first he and I were on the same page, but then when you get other people in your ear you just never know what is going to happen."

Kandi defended the pre-nup during an interview with theGrio.com's Chris Witherspoon, saying "You don't get to see it a lot... where a woman is in financially better off than the husband. You have to protect yourself."

"Y'all know how divorce happens out of the blue to people that we thought we couldn't believe they got divorced," she continued. "So you have to be ready for a mad day. People can work things out and talk about how we wanted things to be when we're on the same page, but when we get mad people want to hurt each other. How they want to hurt you? In your pocket. You not gonna be goin for mine."

During a recent interview with Bravotv.com, Kandi was asked if she was ready to call off the wedding over the "I was. I got so many tweets saying I was horrible to consider it, but let me explain," she said. "Todd did not get his attorney until two days before the wedding. We did start late, it was only a week and a half before the wedding when my attorneys started drafting the prenup, but my attorneys wanted Todd's attorney's information at that point so they could work through it all together."

"That did not happen," she explained. "But Todd and I had said we were on the same page, so I didn't think it was a problem. The only thing at the end that I thought could be taken out was the part about what were to happen if I died; I understood why Todd and his attorney would have an issue with that. But the things that his attorney was flagging were mostly financial. That was when I had to say, 'Hold on, why is your attorney talking to me as if you're my employee? You're not my employee, everything we do together we split equally.'"
