Samsung Galaxy F Specs: 'Premium' Android Phone Rumored To Get Metal Body, Thinner Bezels, QHD Display

For people who are looking for the latest high-end Android devices, you may be delighted to hear that the rumored premium Samsung Galaxy F smartphone has surfaced yet again via notorious leakster EV Leaks. 

According to a report by GSM Arena, the leaker posted another alleged image of the Samsung Galaxy F in its Twitter account, and this time it is just plainly facing the front, showcasing its thin bezels, the usual Samsung home button with the 'recent apps' and 'back' capacitive buttons beside it. 

What is notable here though is the date indicated on the phone's display, which shows September 12 - which would be a Friday this year. If this would be the announcement date of the Samsung Galaxy F, then it is a week earlier than the tipped announcement date for the iPhone 6.

However, while the announcement date may vary, the actual market availability of the device could fall in the third week as well, same as the iPhone 6, and probably together with the Galaxy Note 4. 

In case you are wondering what all the fuss is about regarding the Galaxy F, it is rumored to be the Korean manufacturer's first ever metal-clad Android smartphone. For many years, Samsung has been heavily criticized by consumers and even tech experts for using 'cheap' plastic even for its flagship devices. 

Still no matter what Samsung uses as the frame of its smartphones, it still sells well so no harm done. But right now, this highly-anticipated device can change everything we know about Samsung smartphones - that is if it would really come in metal. 

Aside from the rumored metal build, some alleged specs of the device include a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) display, a Snapdragon 801 or 805 chipset, quad-core CPU, and 3GB of RAM. 

We also expect the flurry of features present in the Galaxy S5 to make its way in the Galaxy F as well such as the fingerprint sensor, heartrate monitor and even water and dust resistance.
