NBA Trade Rumors: Jeremy Lin Disrespected By Rockets! Shows Carmelo Anthony With His Jersey Number '7'! Linsanity Leaving Houston With Or Without Melo!
The NBA Trade Rumors are keeping in step with the free agent rumors since they will go hand-in-hand. Some trades need to be executed to clear cap space, and Jeremy Lin is a prime candidate to be placed on the block to accommodate Carmelo Anthony.
Yup, the Rockets are pulling out all the stops to get Carmelo, but the sales junket got a little wayward. They showed a picture of Carmelo Anthony in a Rockets no. 7 jersey-the one that Jeremy Lin wears.
That's an epic fail since Jeremy Lin is still with the Rockets! That's an insult at the very least, a slap in the face even. And that's how Lin responded on Twitter, as he takes the high road he is wont to take.

There were reports which claimed that Jeremy Lin knew was informed about this, but his agent denied it. CBS Sports breaks down the situation:
"Thing is, Lin would most likely have to be moved to make room for Melo. But to do this publicly, instead of just fabricating a number, is kind of an insult. Lin has a right to be upset. And if the Rockets don't land Anthony as a free agent, which is not the expectation, the Rockets may likely have to move Lin anyway. Because bringing him back after that is maybe even worse than the disrespect.
This is like if your boss was hosting a potential new employee and showed them where they would work ... which is your office. Not cool, Rockets!"
Now, there's no turning back on trading Jeremy Lin, and the Rockets are again in an awkward situtation.
