Install Official Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update On HTC One M7 And M8 GPE; Other HTC Smartphones To Get The Latest Firmware Soon

Owners of the Google Play Edition (GPE) of HTC One M7 and HTC One M8 can now install official Android 4.4.4 KitKat update.

According to a report from Christian Post, the official Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for HTC One M7 and M8 GPE has started to roll out. The latest firmware brings in security patches, UI changes and bug fixes.

Those who wish to install official Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on their HTC One M7 or M8 GPE can go to the settings menu to check if the firmware is already available. The Android 4.4.4 KitKat update rolls out slowly so it may take a while before the official firmware arrives in various regions.

Furthermore, Google's upcoming Android 5.0 or the "L" version is also expected to roll out for the HTC One M7 and M8 in the next 90 days. HTC's statement reads:
