Upcoming Lenovo Phones 2014: Chinese Phone Maker Unveils Golden Warrior A8 With 4G Connectivity

The Chinese manufacturer has recently unveiled yet another one of its upcoming Lenovo phones for 2014 which is aimed at the lucrative Chinese market.

According to the report by GSM Arena, the manufacturer has just took the wraps off of its Golden Warrior A8 handset, successor to the Golden Warrior S8 which made its debut several weeks ago.

So what's different with this new version? Aside from being almost as cheap as the S8 at only less than $130, the A8 will have several new features such as 4G LTE connectivity. In the report, it was one of the few issues consumers had with S8, and Lenovo was quick to oblige to their fans' request.

Looking at the Lenovo Golden Warrior A8, particularly its back, you will be reminded of the faux leather cover of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and subsequent Android devices it had launched ever since.

The leather look certainly is appealing, and adds more style points for the midrange Android handset.

The Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 packs a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, but that's understandable considering its midrange level. The phone also packs a 22GB RAM, a 16GB internal storage, and MediaTek MT6592 chipset with an octa-core CPU. There is also 4G LTE connectivity on board with download speeds of up to 150Mbps.

Other specs of the Lenovo handset include a 13MP primary camera at the back, a 5MP front shooter, and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box with the maker's Vibe UI 2.0 on top.

In the report, China Mobile will offer the device and would be available in several color options such as white, gold, pink and black.

As of the moment, details about availability outside of Lenovo's home market in China are not yet available. Let us just hope we get to try the Lenovo Golden Warrior A8 and its decent specs at an affordable price tag.
