Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Xiaomi Mi-4 Caught In Live Images

For the past year, Xiaomi has emerged as one of the most notable makers of upcoming Android phones for 2014, primarily because of the design and specs of its devices.

And according to a report by GSM Arena, it looks like the Chinese manufacturer is already preparing its flagship device.

Dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi-4, the phone will be a successor to the Mi-3 which has been well-received by Xiaomi and Android fans in China.

As we can see in the images, the Mi-4 will have extremely thin bezels, which will make the phone looks slimmer than it really is. In the report, some rumored specs of the Xiaomi handset include a 5-inch display with hopefully a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, 2 or 3GB of RAM, and a 16MP primary shooter at the back.

Running inside the Xiaomi Mi-4 is rumored to be either a Snapdragon 801 or 805, but that also depends on the release date of the device. The latter the launch date, the more likely that it would sport the newer Snapdragon 805 chip.

Another notable feature of the device is its 4G LTE connectivity which should come in handy for people who are always connected to the Internet on the go.

So far that is everything we know about the upcoming Android handset, and we will make sure to bring more details in the coming weeks.

Xiaomi has been recently on a roll, and if it keeps the same pace it would soon overtake Samsung in second place in the next couple of years.

Just last month, the Chinese mobile maker has reportedly sold 10,000 units of its RedMi Note midrange phablet in just a second. A few weeks before that, another device managed to sell thousands of units in just 2 minutes.

Whatever Xiaomi is doing, it is certainly working and should be a great example to other struggling Android OEMs such as HTC, and Blackberry and its dwindling market share.
