‘Interstellar' Movie Plot Spoilers: Chinese Beating Americans To The Wormhole, Mulitple Blackholes And Time Travel? Leaked Script Has Crazy Elements!

The 'Interstellar' movie is one of the most anticipated films of the year. It's projected to break box-office records and be a contender for the Academy Awards. But an alleged leaked script had elements that were a little crazy.

The leaked script sparked discussions on various forums like Reddit, but the source of this summary is Cracked, so it may be exaggerated for humor. But the essence is still the same:

"The gang finds that the Chinese had sent a crew to the planet, which was wiped out by radiation from a nearby star. Realizing that the sun is about to rise and that they only have SPF 15 with them, they seek shelter in a cave covered by a special life form that absorbs the deadly radiation. The cave is also occupied by evil Chinese robots, who take the crew hostage and explain that the planet is going to be destroyed by another hitherto unknown black hole. The crew battles the robots and escapes with a gravity ray the Chinese had built with the intent of using it, somehow, to save humanity."

That was a surprising angle. It's like the cold war, but now it's the Chinese. The plot thickens:

"After escaping another frigging black hole and slipping through another wormhole (during which the gravity beings show up again and another 250 years pass), they wind up on a Chinese space station that has been built over a period of 4,000 years and is a gateway to all sorts of locations in space-time."

It's starting to sound like the Bill and Ted sequel that never got done.

According to Furious Fanboys, the script is from the Jonathan Nolan 2008 draft and there were some revisions by his uber-famous brother, Christopher, which are:

"The character of 'Murph' is now a girl as opposed to a boy in the script.

The scene of the crew being put into water containers (for cryo-freeze?) isn't in the 2008 draft.

The 'Indian' drone is a Chinese drone in the script. The Chinese play a huge part in the draft, but it's possible they changed them to India due to how much money movies make in China these days.

The 2008 draft of the script has robots in some key roles, and while I looked very carefully in the trailer I couldn't spot any of those characters. It's possible they are deliberately hiding them until later."

Just the name of Christopher Nolan already has its own pull at the box office. The stellar cast of Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck is also compelling. But this script seals the deal. November 7, 2014 is a date to remember. That's when we go "Interstellar."
