‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Movie Director Elizabeth Bank’s Facebook Post Goes Trending; Casts Skylar Astin, Ben Platt Honors 4th Of July With A Song
"Pitch Perfect 2" movie director Elizabeth Banks Facebook post, showing casts Skylar Astin and Ben Platt honor July 4th with a cappella song, has been trending.
"Pitch Perfect 2" movie director has been using the social media to post behind-the-scenes stills and casting updates. Her latest post with the caption, "Happy (early) 4th of July from the set of Pitch Perfect 2!" was uploaded on July 3 which showed Skylar Astin and Ben Platt singing their own rendition of "America the Beautiful."
According to Us Weekly, Skylar Astin and Ben Platt were seen harmonizing on the patriotic song "with a large American flag hanging on the wall behind them. Both are wearing burgundy velvet blazers and jeans."
Both Skylar Astin's Jesse and Ben Platt's Benji are members of the Treblemakers, the main opponent of the Barden Bellas in the finale.
Although most of the cast are returning, another addition is 17-year-old Hailee Steinfeld, who first showed her acting chops in the 2010 "True Grit" was tapped to be part of the Bellas.
"Pitch Perfect 2" movie director Elizabeth Banks revealed the news about the "Ender's Game" actress joining "Pitch Perfect 2" through her Twitter: "@HaileeSteinfeld Welcome to the Barden Bellas! Now lace up your dancing shoes, and get your tush down to Baton Rouge. #PitchPerfect2."
The production, represented by Caballero Casting, posted a listing on its Facebook account looking to hire lookalikes of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. The agency is also looking for "female ventriloquists."
The post read:
