Houston Rockets News: GM Morey Planning On Prying Bosh From Miami If Anthony Re-Signs With Knicks?

The biggest Houston Rockets news is all about getting Carmelo Anthony, and last week the Rockets pitched their offer in a rather offensive way, as far as their popular guard Jeremy Lin is concerned.

But if you are team that is eyeing for title contention in the upcoming NBA season, you'd do whatever it takes to lure the second biggest fish of this year's free agency group.

However, recent reports from Bleacher Report state that Melo is expected to choose the Knicks, not so much because of the $129 million contract for 5 years (though we're pretty sure that played a part as well), but due to his newfound confidence with the management.

Team manager Phil Jackson and newly installed head coach Derek Fisher shared their plans with the Knicks, particularly bringing some key and role players to help out Melo.

Of course, we still need to wait for Anthony's actual decision, which could be revealed next week.

But for the Rockets GM Daryl Morey, there certainly is a plan B right?

According to a report by Marc Stein of ESPN, it appears that veteran forward Chris Bosh is next in line among the players of interest for Houston.

"Sources told ESPN.com on Thursday night that the Rockets -- while still holding out hope that Anthony will choose them after hosting him Wednesday in Houston -- have already let Bosh know how interested they are in bringing the Dallas native back to Texas."

First of all, Bosh will most likely remain with the Heat - that is if James re-signs with Miami. But if LeBron decides to go to another team, that's when the Rockets can entice Bosh to form the new Big Three of the East.

As a natural player on the four spot, Bosh will mesh perfectly with the gaping hole in Houston's starting lineup. With James Harden on the two guard and Dwight Howard manning the center position, Bosh can easily slip in to the power forward position.

Bosh's perimeter shooting as well as his generally reliable 3-point touch will stretch the floor in order for Howard to dominate the inside. Harden will also have more options to dish out once he penetrates as both Bosh, and wingman Chandler Parsons can hit from the outside.

But in order to make this 'Plan B' come true, plan A (getting Melo) should fail first, and then James should leave Miami.
