Xiaomi Mi4 Specs & Rumors: Android Handset’s Front Panel Unveiled In Leaked Image; Other Expected Features Incl. 13MP Camera; End Of 2014 Launch Still Possible

Xiaomi Mi4 specs and rumors: Aside from its release date, the specs of the Xiaomi Mi4 has long been circulated in the rumor mill and today, a leaked image of what could be the “Apple of China’s” next handset has been posted by GSMInsider and Android Headlines. The unit is also rumored to have a 13MP Sony camera and maybe launched by year’s end.

According to Android Headlines, leaked image of the alleged Xiaomi Mi4 is a shot of the device’s front shell taken inside a manufacturing plant. The shell is in white and bezels are narrow on the right and left sides. More leaks of the smartphone is expected to surface and aside from the Mi4, the company is also expected to release the Xiaomi Mi3 variant, Mi3S, which would probably retain the same body and style of the Mi3 but with upgraded components.

The Xiaomi Mi4, regarded by many as Xiaomi’s next flagship and the first that could have immediate international availability, will bear a completely new design.

The reportedly leaked Mi4 image has the Mi logo on the upper left hand side and moving to the right there is a light sensor, front earpiece speaker and a front facing camera. It also shows that the Mi4 will have three capacitive “buttons” on the phone and not the on-screen buttons. The source of the photo provider claims that the Mi4 will have a 13MP main camera with a Sony sensor, similar to the Vivo xShot. A picture posted by Android Headlines (which can be seen below) was supposedly shot by an employee with the Mi4’s camera.
