Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: Dual-SIM Galaxy S5 Duos Goes International, Priced Higher Than Original Flagship

If you are the type of person who cannot live with only a single SIM card, then one of the upcoming Samsung phones for this year could help you on that.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos LTE is now rolling out to international markets, particularly the UAE and Qatar.

In case you are asking, the Galaxy S5 Duos LTE has been available in China since April, and it costs $850. Since its release in China, Samsung has decided to make the version available for the rest of the world.

In the report, the Galaxy S5 Duos LTE will cost $748 (AED 2,749) in the said markets. Poland will reportedly get the dual-SIM smartphone as well, though the exact release date and pricing details are not yet revealed.

As one of the upcoming Samsung phones for 2014, the Galaxy S5 Duos LTE gets all of the specs and features of the original Galaxy S5 flagship.

The phone boasts a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a quad-core CPU running at 2.5GHz, a Snapdragon 801 chipset and 2GB of RAM. Also on board is a 16GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot, a 16MP primary camera and a 2MP front cam.

The phone is powered 2,800mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box.

Like what the Galaxy S5 featured when it was announced at the MWC in Barcelona earlier this year, the Galaxy S5 Duos LTE also gets the fingerprint sensor, water and dust resistance, and heart-rate monitor.

The Galaxy S5's cost is at the premium-level already, but the new dual-SIM version is expected to be priced even higher.

In the report, this dual-SIM phone would be available in western Europe in the coming weeks, if not months.
