English Premier League: North Ferriby 1-1 Hull City

Hull City and North Ferriby marked a draw match as the Barclays Premier League side began their summer program with instantaneous matches against local opponent.

Mark Gray's header blocked out Shane Long's penalty at the Eon Visual Media Stadium in a match; same match wherein Tom Ince and Robert Snodgrass enjoyed their first-team debuts.

Long broke the deadlocks six minutes into the second half when he was fouled inside the box and he picked himself up to beat Adam Nicklin from 12 yards, and Ferriby had the shot to quickly level, only for Nathan Jaman to miss his spot-kick at the opposite end a minute later.

City passed up a chance to victory the Billy Bly Trophy when Snodgrass shot over from Ince's pin-point cross and so both sides had to content themselves with a share of the spoils.

Hull City: McGregor, Rosenior, Chester, Davies, Townsend, Snodgrass (Dixon 89), Livermore, Quinn, Ince, Aluko, Long (Ter Horst 85)
