iPad Pro release date rumors begin to emerge alongside reports of October launch of the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3.

Apple is reportedly unveiling three new iOS tablets this October, most likely during the tech firm's iPad event set for the aforementioned month. Aside from the iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2 release, Apple is also rumored to be launching an iPad Pro.

Citing Economic Daily News, a Taiwanese media publication, Christian Today reported that the iPad Air 2 will get a 9.7 inch display while the iPad Mini 3 will have a 7.9 inch screen. And lastly, the other one of the 3 Apple tablets allegedly launching on October, the iPad Pro, will get the biggest screen display - a 12.9 inch screen panel.

However, a report on Design & Trend noted that Apple will only release 2 tablets this year, the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, a trusted analyst. Furthermore, Kuo expects that the iPad Pro release date will happen in 2015.

The iPad Pro will showcase a "richer entertainment and productivity experience," according to a report on Apple Insider, citing the analyst. Furthermore, Kuo sharead that the Apple iPad Pro will be equipped with new usability features.

Aside from the iPad Pro release date reports, speculations about the specs of the new Apple device are also emerging.

The iPad Pro specs can feature the Touch ID fingerprint sensor as well as a capacitative touch screen. A 2K variant and a 4K variant for the resolution will also be available, according to reports.

Production of the next-generation of iPad models are said to begin this month. iPad Air 2 production began this July, as reported on 9to5Mac citing ETNews.
