Barclay's Premier League: Sacramento 1-3 West Bromwich Albion

Sacramento 1-3 West Bromwich Albion

The insurance of West Bromwich Albion's win were the goals of Saido Berahino, Youssouf Mulumbu and Victor Anichebe. Their pre-season trip to Californa ended on a high note as they completed a stylish win over Sacramento.

Playing in a 4-3-3 formation home-grown striker Berahino volleyed Albion in front with 13 minutes on the clock and the result never looked in doubt at Bonney Field after Youssouf Mulumbu had steered home his second goal in three games on the half-hour mark.

Anichebe netted his second goal of pre-season with a wonderful strike on 62 minutes before JJ Koval - a one-day loan signing from San Jose Earthquakes - scrambled home a consolation for the USL Pro side 17 minutes from time.

"I've been absolutely delighted with Victor and Saido," West Brom's head coach Alan Irvine told www.wba.co.uk. "They've been terrific since I came in, both day in and day out in training and also in the games."
