‘Sin City 3' Confirmed By Frank Miller In Comic Con? Jessica Alba Gets Darker Than Dark Angel In 'A Dame To Kill For'

While we are still awaiting "Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For" author/director Frank Miller is already setting his sights on the next chapter.

Without much ado and without any specific details, the legendary comic book writer/artist teased the crowd at Hall H (from Cinema Blend): "Robert and I are already talking about Sin City 3. So you better show up for number two, or they won't pay for it."

"Number two" won't be out until August 22, and the verdict may decide whether Sin City is still a relevant franchise.  Still, there is much reason to believe that the third installment has already been given the greenlight as early as now.

Cinema Blend explains why:

"If Sin City: A Dame To Kill For can follow the success of its predecessor, it shouldn't be too much of an issue for yet another movie to get the greenlight. Made for a reported budget of just $40 million, Sin City wound up making a solid $74 million at the domestic box office, and wound up more than doubling that overseas, bringing in $84 million for a $158 million worldwide total. That said, Rodriguez has always been extremely skilled at making professional-looking movies on the cheap, and even if Sin City 2underperformers there's a chance that the director could make a third film work anyway."

Rodriguez has his own cult followers and the movie still has strong star value. There is also the highly anticipated transformation of Nancy Callahan-the exotic dancer played by Jessica Alba who left jaws dropping in the first movie. From AP:

"I just really connected with the dark side of Nancy. It was hard to detach from that until the movie was over." The character is much different now-no longer a damsel in distress.

Frank Miller jests: "I haven't seen her in eight years, how did I piss her off?"

Alba mentioned that she worked with an acting coach and choreographer before the production, which was shot in front of green screens.

"The second time, I felt comfortable. I felt like a woman."

The only question for the movie is the nine-year gap from the first installment, which is now a cult classic. There is no more momentum to build on and the popularity of the some holdovers have waned. However, they have up and coming new additions like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green and Josh Brolin among others.
