Dakota Fanning and Her Sister Elle Fanning Have Separate Careers, But May Co-Star in Upcoming Film

Elle Fanning and her sister Dakota may be making a film together.

Elle Fanning has been following her sister Dakota into the movie A-list, but the two have kept their roles separate, so far. That may be changing soon.

Dakota Fanning recently did an interview with Teen Vogue where she says "Doing a movie together is something we would definitely be interested in, but it's just about finding the right thing. Most of the things that have been brought to us had to do with playing sisters, and we both think it would be more unique to not play sisters. It's something we'll definitely do, but it's one of those things you want to do really amazingly one time," she said.

Dakota Fanning she says the sisters keep it real by staying away from each other professionally.

Dakota told Teen Vogue, that her sister Elle has "never asked me whether she should do a movie or not. I always know what she's filming and where she is and who she's working with, but I don't give her advice on it."

Dakota Fanning was a child star who grew up on film before our eyes.  Dakota Fanning was seven when she made "I Am Sam" in 2001. Dakota was the youngest actor to be nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award when she was at eight. Dakota Fanning is 20 years old now. Her 16-year-old sister Elle, 16, is following her big sister into acting.

Dakota told Teen Vogue, "We both have our own paths that we're confident in, so she's never asked me. Of course I'd tell her if she wanted me to, but I also think that choosing the films that you want to do is really a personal thing - it's kind of just a feeling that you get and you're the only person who understands it."

Elle Dakota will soon be seen in "How To Talk To Girls At Parties." Dakota Fanning plays Errol Flynn's young lover in "The Last Of Robin Hood" with Kevin Kline and Susan Sarandon.
