Hilary Duff is back on the music scene!

The star's latest song, "Chasing the Sun", leaked online yesterday ahead of its official release today (July 29).

An accompanying music video for the track has since been released on Vevo, and it's sure to make Hilary Duff fans super pleased - as E! News reported, it's her first music video since 2008's "Reach Out"!

While "Chasing the Sun" did fall victim to leaks, Hilary didn't seem too concerned - she took to Twitter to mention that she'd heard some "little sneakers" had heard "Chasing the Sun" early, and hoped her fans liked it!

Hilary tweeted about the release of the full "Chasing the Sun" video on Vevo in the early hours of July 29, along with the song's digital download availbility.

"Pretty sure the full #ChasingTheSun video is up on @vevo now! Hope you love it," wrote the star, sneaking a couple of smiling emoticons into the tweet.

Not long after, as praise flooded in from some very happy fans, Hilary Duff tweeted "Guess what! I am feeling so loved," a heart-shaped emoticon featuring in the message. "So grateful for all my many blessings."

Best known for her 2000s hits like "So Yesterday" and her memorable role as Lizzie McGuire on the kids' television show of the same name, the 26-year-old singer recently signed with RCA Records.

"I love my team there and feel so lucky to be in the company of their talented artists. I came to them with my vision for the album and it has been a real labor of love, but something I am so proud of," Hilary told E! News.

And as for the release of her new single?

"'Chasing the Sun' is just a peek into my new album," Hilary said to E! News. "I've worked very hard and the album is a great representation of the experiences I've had in my life and where I want to go from here!"
