Ryan Kwanten Sex Scene: The seventh and final season of HBO series True Blood definitely knows how to keep its viewers on the edge. And sweating.

Australian actor Ryan Kwanten and Alexander Skarsgard shared a steamy sex scene in one of the supernatural soap opera's episodes. And this was no ordinary sex scene. Oh no. This was a sex scene of two men-a sheriff (Kwanten) and a 1000-year-old vampire (Skarsgard).

"Alex and I got a little intimate... very, very intimate," Kwanten shared how much they wanted to have a scene together, and if they bit off more than they could chew.

'Begged' for the Scene

Both actors have been in the series since its debut in 2008, and it has been surprising that the two have not really hit it off in front of the camera.

"We really only saw each other at the table reads, which is maybe once every two weeks," Kwanten said to E! News. "We'd begged (to) give us scenes together."

"There was word on the street that a scene was coming, and to be honest, Alex and I had been - not necessarily begging to work together - but we'd been pondering the thought, 'What if we were ever put in a scene where it was just the two of us? What would happen?'" Kwanten told TVLine. "And this is what our illustrious writers came up with."

When the 37-year old actor read the script of his steamy encounter with Skarsgard, his reaction was: "fantastic."

No Awkward Moment Here

Instead of feeling any awkwardness, both Kwanten and Skarsgard mostly laughed in the set.

"I always have a lot of fun, and I think that's the important thing to remember," Kwanten added to TVLine. "We're just there to have fun and to stay true to the characters. Thinking back to this particular scene, I just remember Alex and I laughing a lot."

Having a wide LGBT fan base, True Blood has always been known for its sexy and gory scenes and a steamy cast with Southern accents.
