'Sin City’ Star Eva Green To Join 'Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children' Cast? Tim Burton Also Eyeing Helena Bonham Carter For Lead Role?

Reports are circulating that 'Sin City' star Eva Green is being eyed to play the titular character in the upcoming film adaptation of 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.'

Tim Burton will be directing the film who has a penchant for recasting actors which also makes fans wonder whether Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp will be included in the 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' cast.

The film is based on Random Riggs' bestselling novel about a teenager named Jacob who journeyed to a Welsh island following a family tragedy. There he comes face to face with an abandoned orphanage with peculiar children who are still alive.

If finalized, 'Sin City' star Eva Green will be acting as the protective headmistress of the children.

It will not be the first time for the 'Penny Dreadful' actress to play a role that radiates a mysterious aura. In '300: Rise of an Empire,' she played the role of Persian leader Artemisia.

The novel's author certainly has the creative team's approval. He once said that all of them were "headed in a good direction."

Burton will again be exhibiting his prowess in directing strange films. The 55-year-old director became famous for several works including 'Dark Shadows,' 'Corpse Bride,' 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,' 'Frankenweenie,' and 'The Nightmare before Christmas.'

Meanwhile 'X-Men: First Class' scriptwriter Jane Goldman will lend her writing skills to 'Miss Peregrine Home of Peculiar Children' movie which is scheduled for a July 31, 2015 release.

Do you think Eva Green will give justice to Miss Peregrine?
