HTC One Wear Release Date: Smartwatch All Set For Fall Release; Still No Clues On Specs, Features, Bound To Face Moto 360 This Year

HTC One Wear release date: The public is still in the dark about the details of HTC's first smartwatch. The company still hasn't announced the exact release date nor the specs and features of the HTC One Wear. However, we are looking forward to its upcoming bout against the Motorola Moto 360 this fall.

The HTC smartwatch is set to be released late August or early September, while the Motorola contender (which was supposed to be launched this June) is also bound to be launched this year. Both share the same round-face type design, which supposedly stands out from the rest of the square-shaped Android Wears.

Although HTC hasn't revealed much about its smartwatch, TK Tech News reported that it will be available in polycarbonate and metal versions, much similar to the HTC One E8 and metal HTC One M8. Many also believe that it will have rubber-type plastic straps.

Moreover, leaked images of the HTC smartwatch show a glimpse of its interface featuring icons of File Manager, Music, and Remote Camera, all with Chinese titles.

As more and more leaks are coming out in public, HTC was able to tease its users with its promotional video on its YouTube account. The video shows how the company gives close attention to design. We scored a few looks at the smartwatch as it was placed on a desk and on a monitor in some sort of 3D hardware design program.

Evleaks also shared a picture that was said to be an "artist reproduction" and a "100% faithful reproduction" of the HTC One Wear. Both sneak peeks show the same round smartwatch that many are waiting for. Still, the features and specs are yet to be heard or seen.

Critics are speculating that the HTC One Wear will retail for the same price as the LG G Watch and the Motorola Moto 360 which is around $350.
