Pati Labelle is reportedly joining "American Horror Story" season 4. The diva is set to play an important role in "Freak Show," reports say. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Grammy Hall of Famer will appear on four episodes of the anthology series created by "Glee" masterminds Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck.

Patti Labelle will join "American Horror Story" season 4 as Gabourey Sidibe's mother and will largely contribute to the story's plot as a townsperson who will discover the evil secrets of Twisty, the town killer, says a report on TV Line.

While Pattie Labelle is known for her singing prowess, there will be no exhibition of it during her stint on the show.

The "Lady Marmalade" singer will be the second pop superstar to showcase acting skills on the show. Stevie Knicks, who is widely known both for her works in Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist, appeared as herself on two episodes of "Coven," the third installment of "American Horror Story."

The latest season of the FX series will highlight the story of the last American freak show and be set in Jupiter, Florida in the 1950s.

Leading the cast on the series' latest run is Emmy Winner Jessica Lange, who will play the role of a German expat managing one of the last freak shows that played in the US.

Some of the cast members returning for "American Horror Story: Freak Show" include Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters. They will also be joined by newcomers Michael Chiklis, "The Hunger Games'" Wes Bentley, "Fargo's" John Carroll-Lynch and "The Normal Heart's" Finn Wittrock.

Patti LaBelle joining "American Horror Story" season 4 is represented by Resolution. The show will start rolling in October but a specific date is yet to be announced.

Patti LaBelle's last album entitled "Patti's First Christmas" came out in 2007.
