'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date Rumors: Rockstar Engineer Leaks News About Sequel [PHOTO]

Recently rumors about "Red Dead Redemption 2" have been sweeping the internet. Here is everything we know.

"Red Dead Redemption," released in 2010, was a smashing success for Rockstar Games. Since then there has been little news about the franchise.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" might just have been confirmed. MotorCrunch revealed that Feinstein, a senior engineer for Rockstar and creator of the "Max Payne" series, had confirmed that "Red Dead 2" is officially underway.

MotorCrunch added to their report that the "Red Dead" sequel may actually be a sequel to "Bully" or "Manhunt," two other Rockstar franchises that have gone far too long without a new sequel. But according to that same report, a sequel to either of those games "can only happen after Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out."

Some reports, specifically The Christian Post,  have gone further and claimed that the potential release date might be in November 2015 for Xbox One and Playstation 4. This, however, is a completely unverified date, and likely untrue.

Hallels had a quote from Rockstar about the story, stating: "We don't always rush to make sequels but that does not mean that we won't get back to them eventually. Stay tuned for further announcements about the future of the Red Dead series."

As the original game was "Red Dead Revolver," and the sequel was "Red Dead Redemption." Chances are, a third game would be "Red Dead" and then an entirely new word.

Doron Feinstein, the senior engineer from Rockstar, divulged that he is currently working on a sequel of a famous independent project  from the company.
