The latest Team USA news brings Derrick Rose back to the roster, and the former MVP even managed to crack the starting lineup. 

Since the end of the 2012 season, not a lot of people believed that Rose can actually return from his ACL injury, which required months rehabilitation. And even during last year's NBA season, then 24-old Rose looked rusty and far detached from his MVP form. 

However, just when he was beginning to get his groove, D-Rose torn his meniscus on his other knee, which sent him packing on after playing just 10 games. 

This year, Rose is back with a vengeance, and even during the Playoffs last season, the explosive point guard has been reportedly playing in 5-on-5 full-contact skirmishes already. 

No wonder by the time the Team USA training camp opened almost a month ago, Rose has already shed most of the rust over the past two years of limited play. 

According to reports by ESPN and Bleacher Report, Team USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski has been impressed with Rose's play for the past few weeks, and says that his explosiveness is back. He even went too far in mentioning that Rose has been the most impressive player during the camp a couple of weeks back. 

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, who is an assistant coach for the national squad only had praises for his superstar. 

After weeks of training and full-game skirmishes, Rose has finally made it to Team USA, and with flying colors for that matter. In the report, Rose has been selected as the starting floor general for the national team, and there is absolutely a lot of pressure on his part. 

As the only former MVP in the team, Rose will need to dictate the tempo and get his teammates in the game in order to defend their title against Spain.
