The next Xiaomi sale will be on August 19 and registrations for it will begin at 6 PM today. Users can only participate on the next sale if they register.

Based on the recently and swiftly conclude flash sale, it is now believed that Xiaomi has sold 50,000 phones in India since its launch on July 22. On the first day of the release, all units were sold out in 40 minutes, with the second batch selling out in just five seconds, and the third one at a record of less than two seconds. The Android handset is being sold in India for a RS 13,999 or USD 229 and has specs that include a Snapdragon 800 processor. It is by far the cheapest high-end phone available in the market today. The Xiaomi Mi3 competes with the Nexus 5, Galaxy S4, and Xperia Z for half the price.

Xiaomi Mi3 is the flagship unit of the Xiaomi corporation, which is being hailed by many as the “Apple of China.” It’s wave of launches in other countries shows its intent on going beyond its traditional markets in Far East asia. The company has announced that it will establish a presence in the U.S. in 2015.
