‘Walking Dead’ Cast Norman Reedus Chosen As Main Character Of Newest ‘Silent Hill’ Game; Game Not For The Faint-Hearted!

The playable trailer of the newest "Silent Hill" game reveals that "Walking Dead" cast Norman Reedus will star as the game's lead character. The game, which will be called "Silent Hills," will be directed by Guillermo de Toro and produced by Hideo Kojima.

As per reports, "Silent Hills" will have Reedus walking into an abandoned city district enveloped by a creepy ambiance - something which made the "Silent Hill" franchise famous.

According to Kotaku, the technique exemplified by "Silent Hills" is reminiscent of the strategy being used by "Metal Gear Solid 5." Gamers were able to have a sneak peak of the game because the producers released a mysterious downloadable game to PlayStation Store merelty entitled "P.T."

That time, gamers did not have an idea yet that it was actually a teaser for the newest "Silent Hill" game. The game only came with a disclaimer of "Avoid playing if you have a heart condition." It was only in the ending where gamers realize the demo's real nature.

Meanwhile, Kojima has revealed several details regarding the newest "Silent Hills" game during the Metal Gear Solid Gamescom press conference. He talked about his determination to make the game as horrifying as possible.

"We originally wanted you to pee your pants. Now we want you to s*** your pants," he said. If such is his intent, his collaboration with del Toro is an apt choice for the latter has worked on several horror projects.

Del Toro has directed, produced, and wrote the survival horror game "Insane."  His other projects included "Blade II," "Hellboy," "Pan's Labyrinth," and "The Devil's Backbone."

Since the first release of "Silent Hill," two films and several spin-off games have been released based on the creepy story.  Fans are likewise speculating whether "Silent Hills" will actually have two games because of the title's plural version.
