Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers, Photos, Release Date, And Trailer: Executive Producer Says Season 5 Will Spend More Time Out In The World [VIDEO]

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 has a release date of October 12. Here are all the spoilers, tid bits, and news about "Walking Dead" Season 5

Filming for the sixteen episodes that will comprise the season is currently underway but viewers can already get a first look at The Walking Dead Season 5 trailer on AMC TV, The Walking Dead Wiki, Youtube and other media sites.

Executive producer Tom Luse, said "I think our journey this season, especially at the beginning, is going to show the scale of the world that we're living in a way that we haven't done before. That is the most interesting thing. We're showing many aspects of what has been going on for the last couple of years that we haven't had an opportunity to show before."

The first few episodes will be at Terminus"They're gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out....they're screwing with the wrong people."Executive producer Gale Ann Hurd told Digital Spy, "We heard Rick make that declaration. Now we're going to find out just how badly the Terminans are going to pay... and I think that's going to be a lot of fun!" After that is resolved the plot line is unclear, but fans of the comic books know they are likely headed to Washington DC.

In a talk with Entertainment Weekly, writer and executive producer Robert Kirkman previously revealed, "In our premiere episode of season 5 we're going to give a ton of answers of who the people of Terminus are, what they're doing, why they're doing it, what's going on with them. And by the end of that episode you're going to have a much better understanding of what's going on with them and why they're so important to the show." He also leaked that Rick and the gang will escape. He said, "They definitely get out of that train car. They do not spend the entirety of season 5 in that train car. It is through ingenuity and creativity and somewhat savageness that they are able to make their way out of that train car."

If the events in the comic book will be followed, they will be heading to the Alexandria Safe-Zone, a walled community in Alexandria, Virginia, that that they enter on their way to Washington, D.C. Additional characters from the comic book will be introduced in Season 5 according to Scott Gimple, possibly including Negan himself, the brutal main antagonist in the comic book series. Morgan Jones (Lennie James) will also return next season.

Luse also said that he and others working on the show have a big job.

"I would say that it has become a 52-week-a-year job for us. Sometimes we prepare the new season before the previous season is over," he said.

"As we're traveling, we have to prepare new locations. Zombies do not provide lawn services or leaf blowers - and the goal is to have our world look as if the world has been shut down for a couple of years - so in a way, we're making a period film. We have to keep that world fresh for our audience. In order to do that, we have to be planning ahead."

In another interview Andrew Linclon made some jokes about spoilers "How is it different? There's zombies on sharks throwing snakes this year," said Lincoln.

After Lincoln's little joke, Kirkman scolded him, "I specifically told you not to tell about the zombies on sharks throwing snakes, but that is going to be a huge mid-season finale."

When Kirkman asked where the sharks came from, Lincoln joked, "Daryl Dixon's underwear. No, sorry, those are the crabs."

After that shocking revelation, Lincoln got more serious. "I think that this first episode is the strongest, most complete episode that we've done. It's full of action, the biggest action sequence that we've ever attempted. But it's also got one of the most incredible narrative scripts, and one of the coolest after credits coda."
