NBA Trade Rumors: Veteran Ray Allen To Refuse Cavs And LeBron?

There are a lot of NBA trade rumors going around the league this off-season, and with it comes instant success - we're talking about the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But in spite signing LeBron, Mike Miller, James Jones, trading Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett for Kevin Love, and getting veteran Shawn Marion from free agency, it looks like the David Griffin-managed squad still wants more.

According to a report by Bleacher Report, the team is still confident that future Hall of Famer Ray Allen will join Cleveland in its pursuit for an NBA title for the upcoming season.

The 38-year-old veteran certainly will be a great piece of the puzzle for coach David Blatt in order to spread the floor more. Unfotunately, his skill set is already evident in other players currently on the roster.

It simply means that Allen's skills will be redundant because other players can already provide them.

In the report, Allen may not feel obliged in moving over to Cleveland because he doesn't need to prove himself anymore. His name is already cemented among the all time greats and just joining the Cavs just to win another title may not be something worth working for, especially with the amount of success he has already experienced in his stellar 18-year NBA career.

In a recent interview with Dom Amore of the Hartford Courant, Allen clearly puts it, and this could very well be his answer whether or not he will play in the upcoming NBA season.

"..the way I look at my career, I'm content with everything that I've done."
