‘The Good Wife Season 6’ Spoilers: Alicia And Peter To Forget Everything Except Using Each Other For Power? Show Creator Says Season Is A ‘Bigger Battlefield’

"The Good Wife" season 6 spoilers are up as the CBS series gears up for its return on September 21. The pilot episode will pick up after the finale wherein Will Gardner died after being gunned.

One of the platforms the new season will have is Alicia's possible political venture. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Juliana Marguiles hints that everything in Alicia's life appears to be be in disarray that "she's looking for something else."

Another thing that might contribute to her distress is her continuous marriage woes with Peter. Now that an intern has captivated Peter's attention, Alicia wouldn't let it simply pass by. Their romance might completely be extinguished as Peter shows no effort in fighting for his wife.

Show creator Robert King told TV Line that the new season would transition into a "bigger battlefield." However, despite Alicia and Peter's woes, King also hinted that the two would become a power couple.

"How does that work? Can it work? Is it truly possible that you can have an agreement with your spouse that the sexual relationship is over and the love has to be put on hold, even though we're going to use each other for what power we can give each other," he told the website.

King likewise confirmed to E! News that Matthew Fox would reprise his role as Louis Canning. Viewers will certainly see more of Louis and Alicia's relationship. Finn Polmar, who's played by Matthew Goode, will also have more scenes because of his chemistry with the cast members.

Part of " The Good Wife" season 6 spoilers are the new faces who will join the cast members. Connie Nielsen from "The Following" will be playing a well-connected lawyer named Ramona. Expected to join her are Steven Pasquale and Taye Diggs with the latter playing the role of an equity partner.

In the same interview with Entertainment Weekly, Marguiles expressed her excitement for "The Good Wife" season 6: "I feel very grateful, and I'm just praying season 6 can hold up. I don't know how we'll do it, but we'll try. I have faith. I always have faith in the Kings."
