CeeLo Green’s Concert Cancellations Remain Unaddressed; ‘The Voice’ Coach’s Rape Tweet Costs Him Gigs, Reality Show Not Renewed For Season 2

CeeLo Green's concert cancellations remain unaddressed as the "F-k You" singer continues to remain mum about the issue. "The Voice" coach's rape tweets reportedly cost him thousands of dollars in endorsements and gigs, as his reality show is not renewed for season 2.

In a new report from E! News, CeeLo Green's concert cancellations were announced by the organizer following his comments on his Twitter page regarding rape. One of the events was reportedly hosted by the US Navy.

However, the singer/producer has not commented on the reports regarding CeeLo Green's concert cancellations, even as he already apologized about the controversial tweets which has since been taken down.

"I truly and deeply apologize for the comments attributed to me on Twitter. Those comments were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe," CeeLo Green tweeted on Monday.

Accordingly, CeeLo was supposed to be part of the Freedom Live concert at the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling military headquarters in Washington D.C. on September 20. In a Facebook message, however, the organizers said that the former "The Voice" coach was dropped.

The Facebook message reads: "We seek a Department-wide culture of gender dignity and respect where sexual assault is completely eliminated and never tolerated, where sexual assault victims receive compassionate and coordinated support, and where offenders are held appropriately accountable."

The organizers lamented that "one of the performers we signed," referring to CeeLo Green, posted messages on his social media that are "completely inconsistent with Navy core values."

Meanwhile, in the wake of the CeeLo Green concert cancellations, his reality show "The Good Life" was also cancelled after just one season, according to TBS spokeswoman Karen Cassell, per CBS.

Although, the spokesperson did not cite any reasons, The Hollywood Reporter claimed that the show was cancelled due to poor ratings as it managed to generate an average of 650,000 viewers, which is significantly fewer that the 1-2 million average of shows on primetime.
