‘Criminal Minds’ Season 10 Cast Shemar Moore’s Return To ‘The Young & The Restless’ A Special Request From CBS Big Boss? Actor Refuses To Watch Early Days In Series

"Criminal Minds" season 10 cast Shemar Moore's return to the "The Young & the Restless" is apparently a special request from the CBS big boss, as the actor still can't watch his early days in the series even up to now.

In an interview with TVGuide, "Criminal Minds" season 10 cast Shemar Moore said that he got a personal call from CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler herself out of the blue. So when the "big boss" calls him with a personal request, he can't say anything other than "Yes, Ma'am!"

Having the request come from the big boss also made it easier, he said, because that got the politics out of the way immediately.

When asked if it's a guilty pleasure to watch himself during his early days, he said it's the total opposite.

"I was just horrible. I was saying all my lines in this high-pitched squeal - 'Neil! You don't understand! I didn't mean to screw your wife! But I got needs! She just looked at me funny and said, 'C'mon, baby!' And I really, really wanted to be 'baby' that day. So I screwed her. I'm sorry. But I got needs!" I don't know what the hell was going on with my voice. I don't think my balls had dropped yet," he said.

As to the difference between shooting "Criminal Minds" and "The Young & the Restless," he said that the pace is so fast nowadays compared to when he was just starting.

"Criminal Minds" season 10 cast Shemar Moore described his first return to the set as both "wonderful and crazy" as he walked through the same set, same furniture and "same bad coffee."

"Y&R moves so much faster now than it did back in my day. They handed me 42 pages of dialogue and gave me six hours to shoot it," he said. "It takes Criminal Minds seven days to film that much material!"
