‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Spoilers: Director Elizabeth Banks Claims Sequel ‘Authentic’ Not A ‘Replicate;’ Cast Ben Platt To Sing ‘Magic’ In Cabaret Show?

"Pitch Perfect 2 spoilers are here and director Elizabeth Banks said that the sequel would not just be a rehash of the first movie, as cast Ben Platt may sing his signature "magic" moment in the film's finale on his own Broadway show.

Elizabeth Banks, who's making her directorial debut in the film, dished out "Pitch Perfect 2" spoilers to E! News as she weighed in on the surprising cult following the first film has developed.

"Our expectation is not to replicate that, we just want to make a really authentic original movie with a really fun story about characters that people already love," she said. "And if, like in the first film, something gets taken away from it, then wonderful, but we're not setting out to do that."

She also revealed more "Pitch Perfect 2" spoilers as the 40-year-old "Walk of Shame" actress confirmed that Taylor Swift will not make a cameo as rumors suggested, however, "there are some really fun characters in this movie."

"One of the themes of the film is graduating and going out in to the big bad world, so we definitely brought in some grown-ups that the girls would encounter in their adult lives, and that was a lot of fun," she added.

Meanwhile, Ben Platt, who plays Benji Applebaum, revealed "Pitch Perfect 2" spoilers to Billboard Magazine, particularly with all the attention the film is getting.

"There's a little bit more pressure because everyone knows what Pitch Perfect is. It's as if we're revisiting out first experience, but it's been blown up and it's kind of under a microscope in a certain way," he said.

He also revealed that he could sing his "Magic" solo during the "Pitch Perfect" finals on his own one-man Cabaret show simply called "I'm Here"

"The song might make its way in there," he said.
