Taylor Swift Says She’s Never Been In Love: ‘Shake It Off’ Singer Reveals Love Life Details In Rolling Stone

Taylor Swift has built a career on writing songs about her romantic relationships, but the "Shake It Off" songstress recently told Rolling Stone that her love life has actually been lacking one key thing: love.

Additionally, the star spilled some interesting tidbits about her take on dating, especially when it's done in the limelight.

When Rolling Stone asked Swift if she had ever been in love, the pop star responded, "Looking back? Not real love. Not the kind that lasts. I think that's still ahead of me - which is really exciting."

The "Love Story" crooner, who has reportedly been single for well over a year, also dished on the difficult task of maintaining a love life while famous.

"When it comes to dating when you're a celebrity, you do feel a little bit like you got run over by a truck," says Swift. "You'll be riding in the car with someone and all of a sudden it comes on the radio that he bought you a diamond ring and he's going to propose. And you look at him and go, '...that's not true, right?' And he says, 'No that's not true!' Can you blame me for wanting less of that?"

According to Swift's Rolling Stone cover story, the pop-princess's last relationship was with One Direction star Harry Styles. The two reportedly broke up in January of 2013.

So what would Harry and the rest of Swift's former boyfriends say if asked about the starlet?

"If you turn on a tape recorder, they'd say nice things. But you never know what they'd say in a regular conversation," claims Swift.

Regardless of the rumors surrounding her love life and dating habits, Swift promises that she is not the desperate type. In fact, she insists that she will nip a bad romance in the bud the moment she feels it turning south.

"Once you've established that someone doesn't belong in your life, I don't understand what more there is to talk about," Swift told the magazine. "I walk away from things when they're bad. I don't stick around to watch them burn to the ground."

"I don't want to scream and yell at someone and give them the opportunity to say I'm crazy, or that I went psycho," she adds. "No one will ever be able to say I went psycho on them."
