According to the "Arrow" season 3 spoilers from TVLine, "Glee's" Ray Palmer was added to the cast in a guest role as Felicity's ex-boyfriend. Ray Palmer will eventually become a superhero himself as he takes on The Atom persona.

"The actor will guest-star in Episode 5, aka the 'Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak' hour, as Cooper Seldon ... the IT gal's hacker boyfriend from her days at MIT," it said.

The website teased more "Arrow" season 3 spoilers when it reported that Amy Gumenick, who was Mary Winchester on "Supernatural," will play Carrie Cutter, who is obsessed with everything that has to do with Oliver Queen's alter-ego.

But it's not as simple as it seems as TVLine  noted that Carrie in the DC comics will become Cupid, whom it describes as "a murderous villainess with a tenuous grasp on reality, as she seeks extreme ways to demonstrate her obsessive love for Oliver."

Hypable noted several "Arrow" season 3 spoilers based on the trailer when it noticed the appearance of Peter Stormare, who is now the Count Vertigo, as well as the return of Canary (Sara Lance), Thea is now deep into her training while Laurel provides comfort to a patient at a hospital.

"Season 3 will see a number of new characters, including Cupid (Amy Gumenick), Komodo (Matt Ward), Manhunter (David Cubitt), Wildcat (J.R. Ramirez), Katana (Rila Fukushima), and Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh)," the website said.

According to the "Arrow" season 3 spoilers by Cartermatt, citing multiple sources, shooting for the episode on the origins of Felicity Smoak has already begun. The episode is called "The Secret Origins of Felicity Smoak," which is a departure from the original "Oracle."

The website said "The Secret Origins of Felicity Smoak" will be the fifth episode for this season. It will follow, "The Calm," "Sara," "Corto Maltese" and "The Magician."
