Cheryl Burke To Exit Dancing With The Stars! Longtime Dancer On ABC Hit Show Announces She’ll Likely Leave After This Season

Cheryl Burke is something of an institution on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars." However, the veteran dancer recently revealed that this season will likely be her last.

"As of now, this is probably going to be my last season," Burke announced on "Good Morning America" on Monday. "I started when I'm 20. I'm 30. I want to try new things and just see what's out there."

Burke has quite the winning history on the show. She not only reached the final seven times and the semi-final round ten times, but she won twice, first with Drew Lachey and later with Emmit Smith.

Of the show's nineteen seasons, Burke has lit up the ballroom for eighteen of them.

But it now seems that the cha-cha dancing star is ready to move on to bigger and better things.

Burke once admitted that she would be interested in starring on ABC's "The Bachelorette."

In 2012, she revealed that the show had approached her about the gig.

"There hasn't been a firm offer, but if they offer it to me, I would love to do it," Burke told Us Weekly at the time.

For now, Burke is happily gearing up for the 19th season of "Dancing With the Stars," which will feature the return of another fan favorite... Julianne Hough.

Instead of strapping on her dancing shoes, however, Hough will be taking a seat on the judges' panel.

As for Burke, this time around she is partnered with former "General Hospital" hunk Antonio Sabato Jr.

And the pair couldn't help but show their excitement on Twitter.

Burke also tweeted a pic of her fiery outfit for the event.

The new season of "DWTS" premieres on Monday, Sept. 15 at 8/7 c.
