Lindsay Lohan’s Oprah Show Made Her Situation Worse? ‘Mean Girls’ Star Explains Why She Moved To London And It’s Not Just Because Of ‘Cute English Guys’

Lindsay Lohan's Oprah show last year aspired to document the 28-year-old's progress following a tumultuous battle with her personal demons. Her self-titled series, containing eight episodes, aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

However, instead of making things better, the "Parent Trap" actress said that she had to leave New York because of the show's outcome: "After the Oprah show it was kind of hard for me to be in New York."

"There started to be paparazzi, and I didn't have that in New York in the beginning. Every time I left my house, they were at the corner," she also told Telegraph.

Moving to United Kingdom gave her the chance to star in "Speed-the-Plow." The former Disney star also appreciates the fact that she has more personal time in her new abode.

"Being here in London is all about me this time. Yeah English guys are cute, but it's not about the boys. It's about getting away from New York and Los Angeles and starting afresh, which is all very exciting for me," she gushed.

In her previous interview with David Letterman, the "Herbie" actress also hinted her displeasure with the editing of her series:

"It's edited very differently. Some things are taken out of context and that creates the drama and the spectacle. I don't have control of the editing, I am producer, but I don't have control of that aspect of it. But it's pretty raw. I mean, it's just me kind of sorting out life again and figuring things out. Taking new steps and living in like, sober-minded, it's a process."
