Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: Korean Tech Giant Preparing Metal-Clad Selfie-Phone, Will Take On Xperia C3, Lumia 830, Desire 820

The selfie trend is absolutely the current trend in the smartphone world today, and upcoming Samsung phones for 2014 will surely be up for the challenge. 

Following the announcements of the Galaxy Alpha, the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge, the Korean manufacturer is allegedly working on another smartphone, this time a midranger. 

Dubbed as SM-A500, the Samsung-made handset is rumored to boast a metal frame just like the Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge, and Alpha, or even a metal chassis. The phone is rumroed to be the more affordable version of the Galaxy Alpha which was released to directly rival Apple's iPhone 6.

The Android-powered smartphone packs some midrange specs which means it would be aimed at emerging markets, probably in huge Asian markets such as China and India. 

The upcoming Samsung phone will reportedly pack a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a Snapdragon 400 chipset, quad-core CPU, and 16GB of built-in storage. 

The selfie-oriented phone will boast a 5MP front camera, and a 13MP primary shooter, which are already impressive given than the handset is expected to be a midranger. Other rumored specs include a microSD card slot, 2,330mAh battery, and Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat out of the box.
