Derrick Rose News: D-Rose Already Prepared For Bulls' NBA TItle Quest For 2014-15 Season

Derrick Rose news: The FIBA World Cup this year may not have brought what we expected from Rose for his return to basketball. We didn't see any dominant games from the 2011 MVP, but for Bulls fans, it is enough that he has been able to play all out in those games without getting injured.

As for Derrick Rose, he doesn't have to prove anything in a Team USA squad that is filled and brimming with talent. He just needs to do what he needs to do and facilitate plays, as well as involve his team mates on offense.

During the entire tournament, Rose averaged less than 20 percent field goal percentage, which is definitely disappointing for Chicago Bulls fans who have been waiting for their team MVP to wreck havoc of international team defenses and hoist acrobatic shots from the inside.

Nothing of that sort happened during the FIBA World Cup in Spain, but it doesn't mean all is lost for the Bulls this coming season.

If it says anything, it's that Rose is now proven to withstand contacts and physical play, making him ready for the upcoming 2014-15 NBA season.

This time around, Rose does not need to score more than 25 points a game. He just needs to be consistent (around 17-18ppg), and hit open teammates from the inside like Joakim Noah, Pau Gasol and Taj Gibson, and outside sharpshooters like Doug McDermott, Nikola Mirotic, Tony Snell, and Aaron Brooks.

With a more balanced attack on both ends on the floor, Rose will become fresh for the playoffs. That's where he will shine and bring back his old MVP form, leading the Bulls easily to the Eastern Conference Finals.

It is now up to Rose and company if they'd be able to go past either the Miami Heat or the Cleveland Cavaliers, en route to the NBA Finals.
