Skype Vs Facetime Which Offers The Best Video Calling Experience In iOS?

Here is the comparison of Skype and FaceTime in terms of the video calling experience for iOS, according to the report of the Guiding Tech.

The FaceTime offers a good quality in both video and audio and better even over the same Wi-Fi signal. The video is in good quality when chatting to a Mac user, it performs well and smoother compare to Skype, "with video calls being slightly more fluid and audio and video being always in sync."

On the other hand, the Skype also offers a good video calling experience for iOS users, however, at times the audio started to delay and to lose sync with the video signal, and for some reason 9 out of 10 Skype video calls will stop shortly after 2 minutes.

However, according to the report of Wishpond, Skype is available in different devices, ranging from iOS device to Android, Windows phone, and desktop operating systems, including Mac, Linux and Windows. But Skype offers a poor quality if the user is using a smartphone.

Moreover, the FaceTime is only restricted to Apple device owner, it can only support one-on-one video services. "In terms of costs, two-way Skype video calls are free, although a subscription is needed by at least one of the members if more participants want to participate," according to the report of the Wishpond.
